Erythrina indica, commonly known as the Indian Coral Tree or Tiger’s Claw Tree, is a striking, fast-growing deciduous tree admired for its vivid red to scarlet flowers that bloom in early spring. Native to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, this ornamental tree is widely used in avenue planting, public parks, and tropical gardens for its eye-catching floral display and ecological value.

Reaching a height of 30–40 feet, Erythrina indica produces clusters of tubular flowers that attract a wide range of pollinators, including birds, bees, and butterflies. Its thorny branches and spreading canopy make it an excellent choice for shade, fencing, and windbreaks, particularly in hot and dry regions.
