Barringtonia-Asiatica

Barringtonia asiatica, commonly known as the Fish Poison Tree, Sea Poison Tree, or Putat, is a tropical coastal tree native to mangrove habitats across the Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia, and the western Pacific. This medium-sized tree, reaching heights of 7–25 meters, is renowned for its large, glossy leaves and striking, fragrant flowers that bloom at night. The tree produces distinctive box-shaped fruits, known as “Box Fruits,” which are buoyant and adapted for water dispersal.
