Khaya senegalensis, also known as African Mahogany, is a majestic, fast-growing deciduous tree highly valued for its durable hardwood timber, shade, and ornamental beauty. Native to tropical Africa, it is now widely cultivated across Asia for avenue planting, reforestation, and commercial timber production.
This tree can grow up to 60–80 feet tall, forming a broad, dense canopy that makes it an excellent choice for urban landscapes, parks, roadsides, and large estates. It features glossy, dark green pinnate leaves and develops small, fragrant white flowers that attract bees and other pollinators.
